The Koori Centre is located on the ground floor of the Old Teachers College building near the corner of Manning Road and Western Avenue on the University of Sydney’s Camperdown campus. The Koori Centre is situated close to the entrance at the intersection of Ross Street and Parramatta Road.

Buses

Buses run frequently to and from the city in an easterly and westerly direction along Parramatta Road via Leichhardt, Ashfield, Strathfield, Five Dock and Campsie. Bus stops are located on either side of Parramatta Road close to the Ross Street entrance.

City Road is also a busy route for buses running to and from the city via Newtown, Enmore, St Peters and Marrickville. Bus stops are located on either side of City Road at the entrance to the University.

Additional entrances to the Camperdown campus are located on Carillon Avenue and Parramatta Road at Forest Lodge.


Trains

The closest train station is located at Redfern and the Camperdown campus is a 10 minute walk along Lawson Street, Abercrombie Street and then Codrington Street.

Note: Trains to Central Station connect with buses as above. It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk from Central Station.

Car

University campuses operate under traffic and parking rules which apply on any public street.

Paid parking is available on the Camperdown campus for a flat fee of $24 per day; $4 each hour and in some areas it is possible to pay by the hour but limits vary. Evening and weekend rates are $6 flat rate; $2 per hour. Pay and display notices can be purchased from vending machines located at various points throughout the campus. Failure to display a current parking notice will result in a substantial fine.
