The Cadigal Program is an access and support program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who want to study at The University of Sydney. Any course offered by the University (excluding block - mode and away - from - base courses) can be studied through the Cadigal Program.
Applicants need to be in one of the following two categories:

people under 21 years of age who have completed the NSW Higher School Certificate or an equivalent examination (HSC applicants); |

 |
people over 21 years of age (mature age applicants). |

Applications for the Cadigal Program must be submitted to the Koori Centre or Yooroang Garang before the end of November. Applicants must also submit a UAC application showing preferred courses at the University of Sydney.
Students admitted under the Cadigal Program may be offered enrolment with a full-time course load or a reduced load plus academic skills workshops. Students with a reduced load may still be eligible for full Abstudy.
1. Apply for your selected course through the University Admission Centre (UAC). Applications for 2008 open in August.

Once you have completed your Cadigal Entry Application please send it to:

(Please Note: This is a separate application form to UAC. Please only send your Cadigal Application form to the Koori Centre. NOT your UAC form)
3. Once the Koori Centre has received your Cadigal Application form:

You will be notified that it has been received. |

If you are in year 12, the Koori Centre will not be able to assess your application until your UAI scores come from UAC. |

If you are a mature aged applicant (21 or over) you will need to participate in a 2 hour assessment process and you will be notified of the date of this. (early Dec) |

You will be notified by UAC regarding any offer in either the main round or later rounds (check your UAC guide for these dates). |

All applications are then assessed and recommendations are made for the offers process. |
